Views on tourism are more mixed. Conversions to hotels or to flats for holiday rentals are popular in the earliest stages of recovery.
International banks are not yet lending, and debt is more expensive than in other European cities. But availability of debt is expected to improve next year because after years of moving at a glacial pace, Greece’s four systemic banks are in a frenzy to sell off their NPLs by an end of 2020 deadline
