War of words erupts over Novartis case

A political maelstrom was triggered on Friday after the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court ruled that former prosecutor Eleni Touloupaki must be tried by a special tribunal for abuse of power, along with former deputy justice minister Dimitris Papangelopoulos, over the latter’s handling of the Novartis case that erupted in 2016.

Turkish-Cypriots push two-state plan in UN

The entity in Turkish-occupied northern Cyprus presented proposals to the United Nations for future cooperation with the internationally recognized Cyprus Republic which move away from the decades-old and UN-sanctioned premises for a bizonal, bicommunal federation, in favor of a two-state “solution,” according to Turkish news agency Anadolu.
