The municipal authority of Marathon, East Attica, has vowed to launch a probe into the illegal construction of 13 seaside bungalows on a privately owned plot of land inside a Natura-protected national park.
A fire broke out in the seaside East Attica town of Artemida on Thursday morning and while it was burning close to homes in the residential area of Agios Ioannis, the fire service has brought it under control.
