Approximately 1,500 people took part in demonstration in Athens on Friday in support of Palestinians and condemnation of Israel as it intensified its strikes on Gaza in retaliation for Hamas assaults. The march proceeded from Eleftherias Park to the Israeli embassy, where there was a strong police presence.
