Questions have resurfaced about the Fire Department’s handling of the Tempe train disaster – a head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train that claimed 57 lives in February 2023 – following sworn testimonies given before the Appeals Prosecutor of Larissa in central Greece by department officials. These testimonies were provided in response to a complaint filed by victims’ relatives.
