What’s the point of public relations?

I fail to see why Greece needs a public relations firm in the US. Instead, it could simply let Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan do the work – launching weekly verbal attacks on Israel, meeting with senior Hamas officials, and posing for photos with them.
