Merkel insisted on IMF involvement in Greek crisis as EU did not have experience

Former German chancellor Angela Merkel has said that she insisted the International Monetary Fund be involved in dealing with the Greek financial crisis in 2010 as Europe had no experience in dealing with countries with similar problems.
