Floodwaters sweep through Foinikounda; residents, tourists evacuated

Severe flooding hit homes, tourist accommodations and camp sites in Foinikounda, a seaside settlement in the southern Peloponnese, early Friday after a river overflowing from the Grizokampos area surged toward the coast during storm Byron.
