Bill proposes 5-year extension of Cyprus arms embargo waiver

In a move that underscores the deepening ties between the United States and the Republic of Cyprus, Representatives Chris Pappas, Gus Bilirakis, Dina Titus and Nicole Malliotakis reintroduced the End the Cyprus Embargo Act, a bipartisan legislation aimed at extending the waiver period on the US arms embargo from one year to five years.
