Investigation launched into Patra coroners after forensic failures

An urgent preliminary investigation has been ordered by Patra’s appeals prosecutor into possible criminal misconduct by members of the city’s coroner’s service, following growing concerns over its role in several high-profile child death cases and a formal complaint filed by Michalis Giannakos, head of the national public hospital workers’ union (POEDIN).
