Plastic still everywhere

Another recycling and plastic-reduction initiative has suffered a similar – if not worse – fate. The government has been promising a “great green leap” since 2021, centered on a much-hyped system for returning plastic bottles and cans: Consumers pay 10 cents per bottle at the checkout and get it back upon return.
