The Aegina Health Center on the Saronic island near Athens remains critically understaffed in medical personnel and ambulance drivers, an issue that came to the forefront after an elderly woman died last Friday on Agia Marina beach. Despite repeated calls for an ambulance, none arrived, and the woman passed away at the scene.
