Socialist PASOK, the main opposition party, wants to present itself as a viable alternative to the ruling conservatives. But, as opinion polls indicate, it keeps lagging more than 10 percentage points behind New Democracy and, in voting intentions, it is stuck somewhere between the low- and mid-teens, percentage-wise.
