VAT evasion through fake invoices exceeds €143m in 2025
A total of 147 companies participating in value-added tax (VAT) scams using fake invoices with a total nominal value of €718,128,098.16 – through which they avoided paying VAT amounting to €143,506,427.39 – were identified by auditors of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue in 2025, AADE announced this week.
