New Covid-19 cases continue to rise with 28,933, deaths down
Greek health authorities announced 28,933 new Covid-19 cases, continuing the upward trend, and 49 virus-related deaths, down from 73 on Monday, during their daily briefing on Tuesday. The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) also stated that there are currently 351 intubated patients being treated in Intensive Care Units.
Two charged over improvised explosive device in elementary school
Two young men have been charged on Tuesday with placing an improvised explosive device in the courtyard of an elementary school in Thessaloniki last month. The device went off at night which caused a fire, but there were no reported damages or injuries as a result.

Fire breaks out on Samos
A fire has been reported in a wooded area near the Vronta Monastery on the island of Samos on Tuesday. The Hellenic Fire Service is on the scene and tackling the blaze with 33 firefighters, 11 vehicles, and two aircraft. In addition, local authorities and volunteers are also operating in the area.
